The geography of events concerning Ukrainian-Russian confrontation has essentially expanded on the April week under review. Although the rate of the important socio-political issues withheld by the news of the First National Channels was the same as during the weeks before, the key events in the Eastern regions of Ukraine making up the most critical part of the information pattern of the week were not reflected fully by the channel. Some of the events were left out of the journalists’ attention. Still, there was no strong sense of systematic withhold of the events. As before, less attention has been paid to the responses and actions of the international community concerning Ukrainian-Russian crisis. The number of flagrant violations of information journalism standards was not high (except the standard of credibility, i.e. citing the sources of factual information).
